Starting as a modest shop with just five employees under the visionary leadership of Mr. B. L. Ranka, we began our journey in the stainless steel industry. By the mid-1980s, we ventured into new territories, becoming a trusted supplier for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This shift set the stage for Ranka Steels to become an industry leader in supplying high-quality steel.

Today, Ranka Steels is backed by a team of over 500 skilled professionals and operates across the southern and western regions of India. With two state-of-the-art plants in Karnataka and one in Gujarat, we have grown into a true powerhouse, boasting a production capacity of 50,000 tonnes. Our facilities cater to the specific needs of all major automotive component manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, TVS, Ola, and Royal Enfield, as well as numerous mid-scale vendors associated with these prestigious brands. Our expertise in special steel grades allows us to meet the stringent requirements of the automotive market.

Founded as a small steel trading and processing center, laying the foundation for a legacy in the steel industry.

2004
Whitefield Service Center

Established the Whitefield Service Center, a cutting-edge facility, and partnered with Tata Steel for distribution.

2008
Partnership

Transitioned our distribution partnership from Tata Steel to JSW Steel, strengthening our supply chain capabilities.

2009
Specialized Automotive

Shifted focus from general steel supply to specialized automotive and OEM solutions, marking a strategic industry pivot.

2010
Steel Service Center In Bommasandra

Launched a state-of-the-art steel service center in Bommasandra, Karnataka, initiating Phase I of the plant.

Partnership with TVS

Began a long-term partnership with TVS, integrating into their vendor-managed inventory (VMI) supply chain.

2013
VMI Based Steel Supply

Expanded our automotive footprint by onboarding Honda, further reinforcing our role in VMI-based steel supply.

2016
Strengthened Our Market Presence

Started business with Honda Gujarat, expanding our reach in the western region. Launched Phase II of the Bommasandra plant to support increasing demand. Added Royal Enfield to our client portfolio.

2018
A Landmark Year

Inaugurated a state-of-the-art steel processing facility in Gujarat (Phase I). Started supplying Maruti Suzuki across Karnataka and Gujarat under the VMI System.

2019
Partnership With MG Motors

Entered a new strategic partnership with MG Motors, Gujarat, enhancing our footprint in the growing EV and automotive sector.

Onboarding Tata Motors

Further diversified our automotive partnerships by onboarding Tata Motors, Gujarat.

Major Expansion Efforts:
